Enjoy a two hour trail ride to the top of our mountain and experience the beautiful colors of the Northern Michigan Autumn Season. Take in the brilliant views of the Pleasant View Valley and Little Traverse Bay. Your trail ride will include a stop at the top of the Mountain for an autumn themed snack and photos.
- Thursday - Sunday at 2 pm
- Rides are at 2pm and last for two hours
- Cost is $59 per person - must be 9 years of age or older

Guided Trail Rides
Explore the vast mountainous terrain and make a new equine friend with horseback riding in northern Michigan! Trail rides begin from the Boyne Highlands equestrian facilities and cover the resort’s 4,000+ acres. The wooded trails have been gently cut through natural vegetation and are exclusive to riders on horseback. One hour rides are available.
Trail Rides offered Thursdays - Sundays departing at 12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm.

Pony Rides
For children not yet old enough to guide a horse on their own, we offer pony rides for ages 8 and under. We’ll hoist your young ones into the saddle and they can experience a true ride as handlers escort the horse for a gentle walk through the pasture near the resort’s equestrian facilities.

Arrival
Please arrive 10-20 minutes before your scheduled ride time for proper helmet fitting and completion of waiver and release forms. This ensures that the ride begins on time.
Dress
Trail riders are advised to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Athletic shoes are acceptable but a leather shoe with a heel is best. Each rider is required to wear a helmet which will be provided. Riders wearing shorts and/or sandals may be asked to reschedule.
Cancellation
We must enforce a 24-hour cancellation policy. Reservations canceled within 24 hours of ride will be charged 50% of the price of their scheduled ride. No shows will be charged the full price of their scheduled ride.

Enjoy a leisurely bike ride along some of the most scenic roads of northern Michigan, on your choice of a 20 mile, 42 mile, or 62 mile route. Each route includes scenic M-119, better known as the “Tunnel of Trees.” There are refreshment stops along the way and support vehicles out patrolling. After your ride, join us for the barbecue lunch in the courtyard.
You can register for just the ride or a full weekend package. The weekend package is only $129 per person, plus tax, based on double occupancy. Includes two night’s lodging, a hearty breakfast Saturday, a continental breakfast Sunday and the tour registration fee.
To register in advance for the ride only: Adults $20, children 6-12 $10, age 5 and under free. If you register at the pre-ride check ins, add $5 per person.

New for 2009 - Announcing the Boyne Mountain Tennis Academy!

The Boyne Mountain Tennis Academy is a junior developmental program. The Academy offers a fantastic opportunity for competitive juniors, high school and soon to high school players, the opportunity to learn from USPTA Certified Tennis Director and Head Coach, Larry Stark. He currently serves as the West Bloomfield High School, Division 1 Varsity Boys Tennis Coach. Stark is also a tenured physical education and health teacher. His resume highlights such achievements as Michigan State University Varsity Tennis #1 singles and doubles as well as National USTA rankings both as a junior and as an adult.
Adults who are strong of heart, 3.5 level players or above, that want to move up a level or two and are willing to work hard can enroll in the Boyne Mountain Tennis Academy.

Boyne Mountain’s Tennis Center features 11 Laykold courts located just a short walk from the Mountain Villas, Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa and Disciples Village condominiums. Racquets are available for rental at Boyne Country Sports for $2 and includes use of three tennis balls.
Two additional Laykold courts are available at Boyne Mountain’s Deer Lake Villas and beach area. These courts are conveniently located next to the resort’s Beach House restaurant and golf courses.
Tennis enthusiasts can shop Boyne Country Sports‘ offerings for the latest in tennis fashion, footwear, and equipment. Stores located at Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands as well as in Petoskey, Traverse City, Novi and Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Introducing the Warren Miller Free Foundation, a young entrepreneur program serving to educate area youth on the steps of conceiving, planning, and forming a business on their own and truly achieve young entrepreneur success. Educational sessions to be offered at Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands and FREE of charge to interested youth.
Parade and Contest for Area School Children:
Each classroom has the opportunity to decorate a golf cart for entry in the Saturday, October 3 Skitoberfest Parade at Boyne Mountain. The winning entry enjoys a day of skiing/riding for the entire class at either Boyne Mountain or Boyne Highlands. In addition to lift tickets, all equipment rental and instruction is complimentary and the day on the slopes end with a yummy and fun pizza party!
Parade and Contest for Service Organizations and Businesses:
All service organizations and businesses are invited decorate a golf cart for entry in the Saturday, October 3 Skitoberfest Parade at Boyne Mountain. Join in the parade fun for a $25 entry fee with all proceeds going to the winning organization’s/business’ charity of choice. Minimum donation to qualifying charity in this category is $500.

It’s the best opportunity to share your excitement for the coming winter with other wintersports enthusiasts. Representatives will be on hand from ski clubs, race clubs,and equipment manufacturer’s to answer all your pre-season questions and assist with your planning. In addition, members of the National Ski Patrol and the Professional Ski (PSIA) and Snowboard(AASI) Instructors will be available for tips and advice. Simon Dumont - An extremely successful freestyle skier who is constantly innovating the sport as well as winning a total of 2 Gold Medals in the Winter X-games. On April 11, 2008 Simon Dumont set the current world quarter pipe height record at Sunday River in Bethel, Maine. He aired 35.5 feet out of a 38-foot QP, while performing a cork 900 tail grab.
Greg Needell- Greg has one of the most unique coaching resumes in the United States. Greg began his coaching career after skiing at the Stratton Mountain School (SMS) and captaining the St. Lawrence University ski team. In 2002, after coaching at SMS, Mission Ridge, WA, and Mammoth Mountain, he was asked to join the US Ski Team Staff as the World Cup Coach for SL and GS. Since 2002, Greg has helped lead the US Ski Team Men’s team to 43 wins, 105 podiums, and 264 top ten finishes.
