Winter has finally arrived at Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands! We received over 5” of natural snow in the past 36 hours and forecasters are calling for lake effect snow to continue through the weekend.

Mother Nature has also lowered the temperatures so that our well rested snowmaking crews can put in some overtime. Between the two resorts, we fired up over 230 fan guns Thursday evening and have them doing what they do best. We are committed to making snow every hour that temperatures allow and will have lifts spinning very soon!

Check out the video update at www.BOYNE.com (upper right) and see details for current conditions and activities.

It’s a beautiful November morning when the snowmakers are doing their thing… here they are doing their thing this morning at Boyne Highlands… First snowmaking pics of the 2009/10 season!

This season (08/09) Boyne Mountain is replacing the Meadows Chairlift with a higher speed, fixed grip, conveyor load lift. This lift not only travels faster than the original, it’s easier to load thanks to a conveyor belt system giving riders a seamless transition from snow to seat. The new lift also extends further down the slope allowing speedy and more convenient access from the day visitor parking lots. (Click on photos to enlarge.)

Hole #17– A 150 yard par 3 with some interesting art work in front or the Green. I think it spells “sand” in Chinese. Black Lake Golf Club Review - Visit Black Lake Golf Club Website

Hole #14 - Another par 3. Each tee you drop back the more sand they give you to carry. From the back tees it’s only 235 yds of carry over sand. A good reason to chose the right tees. Black Lake Golf Club Review - Visit Black Lake Golf Club Website
