Featuring three exciting tasting categories: College and Universities, Center of the Plate (Professionals) and Dessert.  Cost is $25 for eight tickets good towards food and beverage tastings.  Additional tickets can be purchased in quantities of four for $15 or eight for $25.  Entry/tickets can be purchased at the door.  Chef teams, craft brewers, vintners and spirits distillers are judged by a team of celebrity judges and the public.

6pm-9pm: Chefs Challenge Cook-Off Dinner, Civic Center
The Chefs Challenge Cook-Off Dinner begins with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and the program.  The evening is emceed by celebrity Chef Michelle Bommarito and includes a mouthwatering four-course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Jeff Minkwic and Executive Sous Chef Chad King of Boyne Mountain, plus two beverages.  Guests will enjoy watching the final cook-off between the top two professional winning chef teams.  Chefs Challenge Cook-Off Dinner tickets are limited.  Reserve your tickets in advance by purchasing online at www.chefs-challenge.com.

MARCH 27, 2012 UPDATE: WE’RE ON!
What a difference a week makes. With highs in the lower 40s and nights in the mid 20s, the Hemlock Open is on for Saturday, March 31, 2012!

If you aren’t quite ready to put your race skis away but you have thought about dusting off the clubs, then we have the event for you. The Hemlock Open is a two person team competition. It will consist of two runs of slalom in a dual format on the Boyne Mountain’s lower North Boyne slope in the morning. In the afternoon, enjoy a two man scramble on our MonuPine course(s). Each team member’s best run will be added together with their team golf score to determine the total team score.

Top amateur players from all over Michigan converge on the Alpine Course at Boyne Mountain Resort in an attempt to punch their ticket to the 100th Michigan Amateur to held on the Heather Course at Boyne Highlands. This is an 18 hole qualifier with the number of qualifiers based on the number of entries. The championship is scheduled for June 21-25, 2011 on the Heather Course at Boyne Highlands Resort. New for 2012, Boyne Highlands brings the challenge of recreational racing back to the slopes of North and South Challenger.  That’s right, on select Saturday evenings Boyne Highlands will be hosting Giant Slalom races, so get your GS boards tuned, squeeze yourself into that speed suit and get ready for a fun night of competitive racing.

Registration will take place in the North Challenger finish shack.  In the future it will take place at the start house.
